Calderdale Parents and Carers are here to support families of disabled children and young people in a variety of ways.
All of our services and activities work towards a single goal of supporting families of disabled children and young people to achieve the best possible outcomes in their lives. To do this we have set nine outcomes that all our activities contribute to. We want to make sure that:
- Families feel well informed about the services available to them and how to achieve best outcomes for their children.
- Families feel resilient.
- Families feel in control of the way in which they receive support.
- Families have a voice which genuinely influences the way in which services are delivered.
- Families feel part of their community.
- Disabled children and young people feel able to achieve their goals and aspirations.
- Services understand the needs of disabled children and their families and make changes appropriately.
- Everyone is included, irrespective of where they live or whatever their background.
This website tells you about the range of services we deliver and how you can access support or get involved.
One of the key strengths of an organisation like Calderdale Parents and Carers is the strength of community we create by providing opportunities for families of disabled children to come together, provide support and share experience.
