Us
We are parents working together to create change so all our children and young people can learn, make friends and have a voice and be part of ordinary school and community life. We work with families of children and young people who have special educational /additional needs, are disabled, have emotional and behavioural difficulties or are experiencing difficulties fitting with school or community life for any reason.
Members get a newsletter with the latest local and national information and are consulted on issues that both members and services have raised as priorities. The views of our members are taken very seriously by services and have helped to make real, positive changes in the area. Members also receive practical support and information. Both parents and their children are empowered and given a space in which to voice their issues and concerns.
We work with service providers by feeding back members views, giving recommendations for ways to improve services, raising awareness of disability and inclusion issues and promoting good practice
This is your chance to share ideas and experiences with other parents, have your say about local services and create change. Tell us what you think should change and what works well. Come along to our coffee mornings, information sessions and workshops. Socialise and get informed at events for parents and families.
